Responsible use
Clear information, with clear limits
Making US food labels easier to read also means being honest about what databases, software, and photos cannot reliably tell you.
Is NutriLens medical advice?
NutriLens provides informational estimates and explanations. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, prevent, or manage any disease or health condition. Consult a qualified healthcare professional if you have a medical condition, severe allergy, or prescribed diet.
Can NutriLens miss an allergen?
Yes. Results depend on source data, visible label text, and the selected profile. NutriLens may miss an allergen, interpret a label incorrectly, or lack cross-contamination information. Always check the current package, including precautionary allergen statements.
Does AI review make NutriLens perfect?
No. Reviewing results across more than one AI analysis can catch inconsistencies and improve clarity, but it cannot guarantee completeness or safety. Catalog gaps, unclear photos, and changing formulas still matter. The physical package remains the source of truth.
Can NutriLens results change over time?
Yes. Product formulas, serving sizes, and database records change over time. Meal-photo analysis also depends on ingredients and preparation details that may not be visible. Treat estimates as a starting point rather than a final answer.
How does NutriLens handle my information?
NutriLens includes controls for reviewing history, managing allergen profiles, and deleting an account. Account deletion does not automatically cancel a subscription managed by Apple, Google, or another billing provider.
